Study says Massachusetts is the second best state in the country

Massachusetts is the 2ndnd the best state in the country to live in, according to a new study published on the WalletHub website. WalletHub is a financial services company that used 52 key indicators to compare the 50 states to determine the best states to live in the US. Some of the indicators used according to the report were housing costs, income growth, hospital quality, and education rate, to name a few.

The methodology of the study used a sophisticated point system with sub-categories under the main categories that included; Affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life and safety.

According to the study, New Jersey is the best state in the country, followed by Massachusetts, New York, Idaho, and Minnesota, rounding out the top 5NS in affordability … 12NS in business… 1NS in education and health… 5NS in quality of life … and 5NS safe.

Massachusetts’ total score was 62.60, just a tick of 1, according to the WalletHub poll. removedNS Place New Jersey, which ended with a final score of 63.01. Some of the subcategories that helped achieve Mass as the second best state to live in were the state’s number 1 for the highest percentage of insured and a 5NS Place ranking for the lowest average weekly working hours.

As for other New England states, New Hampshire had the second best performance in the country at 8NS overall … Vermont placed 11thNS… Maine 18thNS… Connecticut 22nd… and Rhode Island brings up the rear in New England at 36NS Total.

The states at the bottom of the list are South Carolina at 46 … Mississippi at 47NS… Louisiana at 48NS… Alaska at 49 … and New Mexico bottoming out at 50NS the best state to live in.
