Voter Service Centers in Hawaii will open before the primary

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) — While there has been a shift in the state to voting by mail and dropping off ballots, voter service centers remain available for those who prefer an in-person experience.

Voter service centers on the islands opened on Monday ahead of the upcoming primaries.

Honolulu Hale and Kapolei Hale, two of the most well-known voting centers on Oahu, are open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On August 13, all centers will open earlier – from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., except for Maui’s Hana location and the “pop-up” centers on Oahu.

In Kaneohe, the “pop-up” voter service center opened Monday morning in the district park meeting room. The center will be open to the public for a week from 11am to 6:30pm.

Following the closure of the Kaneohe site, Wahiawa will open a “pop-up voting” center in the George Fred Wright Wahiawa District Park August 8-12.

After the Aug. 13 primary, the centers will be closed for voter services until Oct. 25 before the general election.
