Maui Wine & Food Classic returns at the Four Seasons for Labor Day weekend

The Four Seasons Maui Wine & Food Classic, developed in collaboration with Christian Navarro, the “Wine Therapist of the Stars,” returns September 2-4 over Labor Day weekend.

That weekend festivities Connect guests with an all-star lineup of winemakers and celebrity chefs.

These include some of the West Coast’s most celebrated culinary personalities: two-Michelin-starred chef Wolfgang Puck by Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group and Spago Maui, two Michelin star chef Josiah Citrin from Melisse and Chef “Godfather of LA Dining”. Joachim Splichal, Founder of the Patina Restaurant Group.

Renowned chef Rashida Holmes is also attending the event by Bridgetown Roti, Maui’s James Beard nominated chef Tinroof’s Sheldon Simeon, Wally’s Executive Chef Ryan Kluver and the Four Seasons Resort Maui culinary duo Executive Chef Michael Patria and Executive Pastry Chef Alexandre Chersouly.

Navarro’s list of winemakers, champagne houses and spirits, President and Director of Wally’s Wine & Spirits includes: Opus One, Shafer Vineyards, Patrimony, Champagne Laurent-Perrier, Champagne Billecart-Salmon, Marciano Estate, DAOU “Soul of a Lion” , Aleksander Wine, El Cristiano and more. They are curated to pair with the weekend of culinary events.

The event schedule includes:

  • Wally’s Starlight Lounge, September 2 and 3, 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Special cocktails, fine wines and Wally’s signature appetizers under the Maui starry sky. Navarro’s handpicked range includes El Cristiano Tequila, Marciano Estate, DAOU “Soul of a Lion” and Aleksander Wine.
  • opening gala, September 2, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m: A grand tasting event on the oceanfront resort lawn featuring premium wines, spirits and the full roster of Four Seasons Maui guest chefs and chefs. Guests and winegrowers mingle with extraordinary gourmet cuisine.
  • Lunch with Chef Rashida Holmes, Sept. 3, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Caribbean charm meets Maui. Guests are treated to a seaside lunch with Rashida Holmes, the acclaimed chef and owner of Bridgetown Roti. They tie in with their family roots with eclectic and delicious Caribbean flavors, which she describes as “a love letter to West Indian street food”. She has drawn critical culinary acclaim from that New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bon appetitand the Los Angeles Times.
  • The Icons Wine Dinners, September 3, 6:00 p.m.: LA’s most celebrated chefs team up with select wineries to present breakout dinners at resort venues. Guests can choose from the following exclusive options: Chef Wolfgang Puck with Opus One, Chef Josiah Citrin with Patrimony, and Chef Joachim Splichal with Shafer Vineyards.
  • Brunch & sparkling wineSeptember 4, 9am-1pm: An elegant alfresco champagne brunch featuring Laurent-Perrier and Billecart-Salmon paired with an indulgent menu of brunch classics with a local twist from Four Seasons Maui Executive Chef Michael Patria and Executive Pastry Chef Alexandre Chersouly.

Entrance tickets are available for the Opening Night Gala, The Icons Dinners and Brunch & Bubbles. Wally’s Starlight Lounge and Lunch with Chef Rashida Holmes are subject to availability.
