The next south swell is due to arrive late this evening on the island’s south coast and peak Tuesday through Wednesday. This should translate into a slightly above normal surf along the south-facing coasts on Tuesday and Wednesday. This south swell can wrap itself in for the next few days and give the surf on the west coast a little bump.

In response to weakening trades, the surf along the east-facing coasts will drop during the day and hold through the middle of the week.

A series of compact low pressure systems traversing the northwest Pacific will generate small, low waves from west to northwest in the second half of the week. The first in a series of these overlapping west to northwest swells is expected to arrive late Tuesday, followed by a slightly larger swell Friday through Saturday.
