There are problems with reserving tee times at Oahu’s urban golf courses

HONOLULU (KHON2) – New phone numbers for reserving tee times on Oahu’s urban golf courses were a headache for some golfers on Wednesday, September 29th.

One golfer said he tried several times to reserve a time for the week of Monday, October 4th, but to no avail.

“I actually tried to get a start time for next Wednesday at 6:30 this morning and I must have called at least half a dozen times, tried half a dozen times, each time saying I couldn’t a , it couldn’t give me time, ”said Howard Yoshiura from Manoa.

The tee time reservation hotline was a single number for all six Oahu golf courses, but this was the number City and county announced on Monday, September 27th, different numbers for each of the courses take the advanced start times.

“The new numbers are good if you go straight to the desired course. But the unfortunate thing is, as I said, the system doesn’t work. “

The city said the system encountered some technical issues, despite being tested several times before it was released to the public. The Golf Division will continue to monitor the program and thanks golfers for their patience during the transition.

On Monday, November 1st, golfers can reserve a tee time online, but need to update their golf ID. The registration form for the golf ID will go online from October 4th here.
