University of Hawaii volleyball alumnae match canceled

The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team alumnae match and the green and white game originally scheduled for Friday have been canceled.

The Rainbow Wahine played their first five home games without fans at the SimpliFi Arena in the Stan Sheriff Center and the convention restrictions remain in place this week. The alumnae match was held every year from 2012 to ’19 in conjunction with a match or scrimmage.

The wahines (3-5) are in a bye week before the start of the Big West season. They open their 2019 conference title defense on September 23 at UC Riverside and play at UC Davis on September 25. They face Long Beach State on October 1st and Cal State Fullerton on October 3rd in their first home conference games.
