“It feels great, you know, I’m super excited and am doing the setup right now, and you know tomorrow is going to be even more special,” said Katie Ka’anapu, Marketing Director at Kapolei Commons.

The patch is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with staggered entry times at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
All participants – except children under the age of 12 – must provide proof of vaccination in order to participate.

“So we just want to offer one free event and follow the applicable rules. You know, we didn’t make the rules, we just obey the rules, ”Ka’anapu said.

Tickets for Kapolei are readily available online, but limited walk-ins are accepted on-site. A total of 500 small to medium sized pumpkins will be given away for free and there will be photo opportunities with characters like Moana, Buzz Lightyear and more.

Over in downtown Mililani, the drive-in trick or treating returns from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30th. Participants are invited to dress up and stay in the car while driving through, where volunteers put goodies right in their trunk.

“It’s just a really good activity, you can stick around when you’re done, shop, eat, dine with us, yes, all day event,” said Shelley Morisaki, general manager of the Town Center of Mililani.

Tickets are $ 13 for Kamaaina and you’ll have a spooky time in the stationary – but spooky – machine. It will run at special times until Halloween – 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. – and last until 2022.

Each “trip” takes 15-20 minutes and takes those on board into another dimension with sound and visual effects together with live actors.
